What happens if my WhatsApp account is restricted?
Distinguish a connection problem from an account restriction and find the next steps.
Check WhatsApp first
A disconnected session does not necessarily mean your number is banned. Open WhatsApp on your phone and check for an explicit account restriction or warning. If the app works normally, start with connection troubleshooting.
Session webhooks can help your application notice connection changes, but a connection event alone is not proof of a ban.
What WasenderApi can do
WasenderApi is an unofficial API based on WhatsApp Web emulation. We cannot prevent, remove or appeal restrictions imposed by WhatsApp. Follow the review or support instructions presented by WhatsApp for your account.
Pause automated sends while investigating. Repeated send attempts or QR scans do not remove a WhatsApp restriction. If you later connect another eligible account, it will need its own QR scan.
Contacting support
Share the session ID, when the issue started and the exact error text through our contact page. Remove API keys and personal message content. We can investigate the WasenderApi connection, but cannot guarantee that WhatsApp will restore the account.
